Getting Started

This guide will walk you through setting up Etch for development and production use.

Quick Start​

  1. Install the Plugin: Upload and activate the Etch plugin in WordPress
  2. Install the Etch Theme: Upload and activate the Etch theme in WordPress
  3. Claim Your License: See License Setup below
  4. Access the Builder: Navigate to any page or post and click "Edit with Etch"
  5. Start Building: Use the visual editor to create your layout
  6. Publish: Save and publish your changes

License Setup​

To use the Etch Theme with auto-updates enabled, you'll need to claim your free Etch Theme license.

Claiming Your License​

  1. Log in to your account at etchwp.com/account/customer-dashboard/
  2. Click "Reclaim Etch Theme Now" to claim your free license
  3. Find your license key in your SureCart dashboard
  4. Download the theme from your dashboard

We strongly recommend using a child theme to safely add your modifications without losing them on Etch theme updates.

After downloading, check the functions.php file in the child theme repository for setup instructions.
